8 Yam: There are diffrent types of Yams the one they popularly called Red Yam Yellow i can say but they call it Red Yam anyway, but in Edo Language is Ikpen, while the Medicinal Red Yam is Eru, Water Yam is called Igiorua other white Yams are called Emowe like Omi, Ikale, Ahebun, Ezekuhunkpolore, Iyawo and Iyawo Omorotionmwan another white Yam called Ukpoko, Abakeleke,etc.
Newly harvested Yams from July to December is called Emoror while the Yams that is already tied in a Barn (Eru)as from January to July is called Iyunkhunmwun
